$1,000.00 Brand: A.D.ShattuckA.D.Shattuck

Made in 1892 in Granby, Conn. Brown finish, two piece back of strong medium curl w/ matching sides and neck, well executed scroll, has a couple repaired cracks on top (no bass bar or soundpost cracks, however), ebony fittings, handsome fiddle with a nice voice. AD Shattuck was a highly respected American painter -- his paintings sell for well into 5 figures, and became a violin maker after a succesful painting career.  This violin has excellent workmanship, sounds great, plays very well, and is made with fine woods.
